Product Description
Leviton 274 gray plug-in outlet adapter. If you live in an old house like we do, you use a lot of these! Residential Grade, NEMA 5-15R, 2-pole/2-wire to 2-pole/3-wire grounding, rated 15A 125V. Converts an outlet for a 2-prong plug to an outlet for a 3-prong grounding plug; for power tools, appliances and extension cords. Bulk packed loose with no individual packaging; as a result some may have minor dings. ITEM PICTURED IS FOR REFERENCE ONLY: SCRATCHES, SCUFFS, DINGS, and BLEMISHES WILL VARY FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL ITEM. To install:
- Warning: to avoid fire, shock, or death; turn off power at circuit breaker or fuse and test that power is off before installing!
- Remove wallplate screw. While holding wallplate in place over wall outlet, insert adapter so that the metal ring is directly over the wallplate screw hole.
- Replace wallplate screw and tighten firmly.
- Restore power. Installation is complete
- Note: Grounding is accomplished only when the outlet box is properly grounded
