Product Description

Leviton 698-W white plug-in grounding adapter. Converts a 2-wire outlet to a 3-wire outlet. Residential Grade, NEMA 5-15R, 2-pole to 2-pole 3-wire grounding, rated 15A 125V. Grounding clip uses existing outlet wallplate screw for grounding; wallplate screw must be properly grounded for adapter to provide grounding. Bulk packed loose with no individual packaging; as a result some may have minor dings. ITEM PICTURED IS FOR REFERENCE ONLY: SCRATCHES, SCUFFS, DINGS, and BLEMISHES WILL VARY FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL ITEM.

To Install: TURN OFF POWER. Remove wallplate screw, hold wallplate in place over outlet, and insert adapter. Metal ring must be over screw hole. Replace screw and tighten firmly. Restore power. Note: Grounding is accomplished only when the outlet box is properly grounded.
